Housing Investment Taskforce - Stakeholder Event

Join us for an insightful session featuring members of the Housing Investment Taskforce, who will provide an overview of their work to identify actions that unlock investment in housing across all tenures. James Blakey, Planning and Engagement Director at Moda Living, and Dan Batterton, Head of Residential at Legal & General, will share valuable insights into efforts to address perceived barriers to housing delivery in both the private and affordable sectors.

The Taskforce has been split into various workstreams which include the Housing Bill and rent controls, housing investment and potential for adopting good practice from beyond Scotland and long lease finance for affordable homes. It is due to report its findings in March 2025.

This session provides a great opportunity to pose questions to, and discuss the issues faced in the industry with, those directly involved in the Taskforce, including officials from the Scottish Government.

We would welcome all those interested in housing delivery including housebuilders, build to rent, affordable housing providers, local government and funders.

Please submit questions in advance of the session in the sign up form below.
