Representation in litigated actions
We also offer the services of our in-house Solicitor Advocate who has higher rights of audience in UK civil courts and is skilled in court advocacy both in the Court of Session and the Sheriff Court.
A Solicitor Advocate is a solicitor who has undertaken a course of additional training and examinations in evidence, pleadings (written case in court proceedings) and advocacy. They have an enhanced understanding of the court process.
Our in-house Solicitor Advocate can be instructed to represent you as part of the court proceedings or instructed on an ad hoc basis depending on your particular circumstances. Whichever way, the opportunity to be represented by someone who has an enhanced understanding of the court process is available to you.
We also work closely with the most esteemed Junior and Senior Counsel (also known as "Advocates") in Scotland and England. Advocates are external, independent (self-employed) specially trained solicitors. At MFMac, you will benefit from being able to choose how you are represented.
