Katie is a Solicitor in our Corporate team.
Katie provides general support to our Corporate team and advises clients in a wide range of corporate transactions including corporate restructuring, equity investment, joint ventures, mergers and acquisitions and partnerships. Katie has experience in offering advice to a wide variety of clients, from start-ups and family businesses to nationwide companies and sporting organisations.
Katie graduated from the University of Aberdeen with a Scots Law LLB (Hons) degree in 2011 before going on to study English legal qualifications at BPP Law School, Manchester and the Diploma in Professional Legal Practice at the University of Strathclyde.
Prior to becoming a Solicitor, Katie worked in Risk and Compliance for various organisations in the public, private and third sectors. Katie qualified as a Solicitor in September 2022 and joined Morton Fraser MacRoberts in March 2023.
Katie is a member of MFMac's Energy and Renewables Group acting for developers and operators in this sector.
In October 2023, the Economic Crime and Corporate Transparency Act (the Act) received Royal Assent, being the second part of the legislative package aimed at preventing the abuse of UK corporate structures and tackling economic crime.
